OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £719.99. We are grateful for your generous support of the Parish. Banker's Orders amount to an average of £4000 per month.

BANKER'S ORDERS, GIFT AID AND WILLS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to £319.23 - many thanks.

SCOTTISH CATHOLIC INTERNATIONAL AID FUND (SCIAF) COLLECTION
There will be a special collection at all Masses next weekend for SCIAF.

THE WEE BOX
The Wee Box campaign from the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF) urges us to fast - as did the Holy Father - and share whatever we save on luxuries with those who don’t even have enough to eat. Pick up a Wee Box at the stall and take one for the youngsters at home.

LENT
The holy season of Lent, our journey to Easter, continues. During Lent, we should do penance, making time for prayer, penance and sharing. Children are good at 'giving up something for Lent' but it would be good for all of us - so would a Saturday morning Mass or a Thursday evening Mass during Lent. During Lent, the Stations of the Cross will be celebrated on a Friday morning before Mass at 9.40 am. Towards the end of Lent, the parishes in the Three Towns will have a time set aside for a Service of Forgiveness. It would be good to start thinking about it now.

PENANCE SERVICES FOR LENT
Easter confession used to be so much part of our lives - and it still should be. Our Lenten penance and fasting ought to be leading us to receiving Sacramental forgiveness for our sins so make every effort to get to a Penance Service. The times are:
Monday 16 March at 7.00 pm - Saint Mary's, Saltcoats
Tuesday 17 March at 7.00 pm - Saint Brendan's, Saltcoats
Wednesday 18 March at 2.00 pm - Saint Mary's, Saltcoats
Thursday 19 March at 7.00 pm - Saint Peter's, Ardrossan
Monday 23 March at 7.00 pm - Saint John's, Stevenston
Friday 27 March at 7.00 pm - Saint Bride's, West Kilbride

PARISH RECORDS
Thank you to those who have already filled in a Parish Records form in. Even if you think that we have your information, we are lacking some basic information, for example, first names, postcodes and so on. If your phone number is ex-directory, please mark that. All information will be kept confidential. This means that you cannot phone here for someone’s address. Data protection law does not allow that. If you live alone, a contact phone number for a family member would be useful.

SOCIETY OF SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL
On 29 March 2009, Saint Peter’s Conference of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society  will celebrate sixty years working in the parish. 12.00 noon Mass on that day will be celebrated by the Right Reverend Bishop John Cunningham and will be followed by light refreshments in the Parish Centre to which everyone will be welcome. Bishop Cunningham will also celebrate the 10.00 am Mass on that day. Following Mass, he will present prizes to the winners of the Primary Art Competition which is being sponsored by the Conference. Tea and coffee will be served in the Parish Centre at this event and again everyone will be welcome.

TOILETRIES FOR THE OZANAM DAY CENTRE
The Ozanam Day Centre in Glasgow is run by the Saint Vincent de Paul Society  to assist homeless men and women. We have been asked to assist in the collection of toiletries during Lent so these might be distributed as a very practical way of assisting the great many people who use the Centre. Saint Peter’s parishioners have donated generously to this appeal in previous years and it is hoped that you will do so once again. The Conference thanks you in anticipation of your kind assistance. A box for donations of all kinds of toiletries will be available in the Church porch during Lent.
