OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £699.83. We are grateful
for your generous support of the Parish. Banker's Orders amount to an average
of £4000 per month.
BANKER'S ORDERS, GIFT AID AND WILLS
Have
you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of
cash. Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you
give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Would you consider remembering
Saint Peter's in your will? The recession is hitting everyone. Thanks for the
support you manage to give the Parish.

site has nearly 1000 pages, 625 pictures, 268 bulletins between 1960 and 2009,
over 7000 links, some audio and video clips and been viewed in 45 countries by
over 40800 visitors. It contains many articles on past and present spiritual and
community life in Saint Peter's. Canon
Matt and the website author are very grateful to those who have accessed
the site, lent photographs, passed on stories, identified errors, made suggestions
and expressed compliments. The aims of the site are to make parishioners aware
of current events and record our history. If you can help with this project, please
contact WebsiteAuthor@SaintPeterinChains.net.
FATHER
STEPHEN SHARKEY
Father Stephen Sharkey is presently in Helmand province in
Afghanistan. He has requested our help and prayers for the troops. Many of our
young soldiers are without support from home so we have decided to create shoebox
style packages for them. A large box will be in the porch of the Church for any
donations you can spare. For these packages we need empty shoes boxes, toiletries
but no aerosols please, sweets but no chocolate, loaf cakes such as tea bread
and banana bread and magazines. Please remember that some of our soldiers are
female. Also if you would like to write to a soldier, feel free to drop a letter
in the box. Thank you in advance for your support.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY
We
would like to thank all who have volunteered this past year to allow our excellent
Children’s Liturgy program to continue. We look forward to working with you again
next year. As always, we are looking for more volunteers to be able to continue
the Liturgy program. If your child is joining our Liturgy at any stage next year,
please consider volunteering. If there are any sixteen or seventeen year olds
that would consider volunteering, please contact Annie Watt or the Parish Office
on 464063. Thank you.

in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness and well-being of each
individual person within God's purpose for everyone. It seeks to safeguard the
welfare of people of all ages who are involved in whatever capacity with
the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it is
the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and
voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional
abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
