OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last
weekend's Offertory collection amount will be given later. We are grateful for
your generous support of the Parish. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Parish
Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Each month we pay off our
Parish Centre debt by £3000 and pay a levy of £1250 to the Diocese.
PARISH
CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amount
will be given later.
BANKER'S ORDERS, GIFT AID AND WILLS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order?
It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Have you signed a Gift Aid Form?
If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28
to us. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will? The recession
is hitting everyone. Thanks for the support you manage to give the Parish.
READERS
Next
weekend's readers are Louise Moore at 5.30 pm, Sarah Guthrie at 10.00 am and Angela
Body at 12 noon.
REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Today is Remembrance Sunday. There is a Joint
Service in the Evangelical Union Church, Glasgow Street at 1.00 pm followed by
the wreath-laying at the war memorial.
NOVEMBER LISTS
Mass is offered
during November for all those who have died. The list is a way of remembering.
God knows all His children.
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)
Is there any one out there who would like to join the RCIA group? It will start
within the next couple of weeks.
ITALIAN NIGHT
The Italian Night
is booked to take place on Friday 27 November. This is the second partnership
event between the Italian Twinning Group and Parish Centre funds.
RACE
NIGHT
A Race Night with light supper in aid of the Parish Lourdes Group will
be held in the Parish Centre on Friday 13 November. Tickets costing £3 each
are available from Myriame Sammons. Tickets are limited and need to be purchased
prior to the night. We are grateful for donations and prizes received. We would
really appreciate support from Parishioners and their friends by coming along.
A bar is available for adults only. We look forward to a fun night.
CROSSHOUSE
HOSPITAL
If you or a family member is going into Crosshouse Hospital and wishes
a visit from the hospital Chaplain, please let us know. If you or a family member
is housebound, please let us know. Unless told, we don’t know about it.
HOLY COMMUNION

please come to the front or you could ask whoever is with you to ask for a sacred

SUNDAY TEAS
Is there a group of friends
who would like to form a new Sunday Teas team? Please speak to us about it.
PARISH REGISTRATION
We still do not have an up-to-date register
of Parishioners - even those who come to Mass. Many of you have filled in the
little green forms - thanks - and that is all you have to do. Some haven’t got
round to it yet and we would be grateful if you would do it. The Parish website
has a link for you to forward
your name, address and phone number.
NEW LICENSING LAWS
Due to the
new laws, a drinks license for the Parish Centre must be obtained 28 days in advance.
If children are to be present, then the number of children must be noted on the
application form. There can be no exceptions to the legislation. Please keep this
in mind if you wish to use the Parish Centre. We are unable to get a licence at
short notice, for example, a post-funeral reception. Arrangements can be made
with a caterer.
PARISH CENTRE
The Parish Centre is available for
functions. Please phone Michael or Fiona on 606424 for information and booking
forms. Booking conditions must be strictly adhered to.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness
and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone. It
seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in whatever
capacity with
the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it is
the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and
voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional
abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
