Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to
£728.30. We are grateful for your generous support of the Parish and the
Diocese to which we pay a monthly levy of £1250.

Last
weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to £311.71 - many thanks.
Each month we pay off our Parish Centre debt by £3000.
BANKER'S
ORDERS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe
handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average
of £3800 per month. Forms are available.
GIFT
AID
Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you
give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Forms are available.

CHRISTMAS SERVICES
On Christmas Eve, there will be a Carol Service
at 5.15 pm followed by Mass at 5.30 pm then another Carol Service at 8.15 pm followed
by Mass at 8.30 pm. Mass on Christmas Day will be at 11.00 am. On the weekend
of 26 and 27 December, Masses will be at the usual times.
HOLY COMMUNION
If
you are at Mass find it difficult to get down for Communion, please come to the
front or you could ask whoever is with you to ask for a sacred host to bring to
you in your seat.
ADVENT PENANCE SERVICES
You might want to make an
effort to celebrate the Sacrament of Forgiveness (Confession) before Christmas.

BURNS
SUPPER
The
next Burns
Supper will be held in the Parish Centre on Saturday 23 January 2010.
Patrons are asked to be seated by 7.20 pm for a prompt 7.30 pm start. Ciaran Sinclair
will pipe in the top table guests and the haggis, Bill Andrew will address the
haggis, Bill Nolan of Irvine Burns Club will propose The Immortal Memory, Eric
Allan, head teacher of Saint Matthew's Academy, Saltcoats will propose the Toast
to the Lassies and the reply will be given by Mary-Rose Martin, head teacher of
Ardrossan Academy. Catering will be done by the Parish Centre team. More information

Suppers are on Saint Peter's website. Tickets
costing £10 are on sale at the Parish Office.
ITALIAN
NIGHT
Many thanks for the great support for the Italian Night. It was a great
night. The Parish Centre fund received £700 as did the Three Towns Twinning
Group. We’ll do it again!
CROSSHOUSE HOSPITAL
If you or a family member
is going into Crosshouse Hospital and wishes a visit from the hospital Chaplain,
please let us know. The Chaplain is Father Martin Chambers and his telephone number
is 01563 533587. If you or a family member is housebound, please let us know.

HELP FOR THE SOLDIERS IN AFGHANISTAN
Thank you for all your kind donations to our shoebox parcel appeal. We have more
gifts than we can handle at the moment. We will restart the appeal in the new
year.

NORTH AYRSHIRE SCHOOLS CHOIRS CONCERT
North
Ayrshire Schools Junior and Senior Choirs will perform And Peace On Earth by Bob
Chilcott and Feel The Spirit by John Rutter on Sunday 6 December at 7.30 pm. Tickets
cost £7 and £5 concession. All are welcome.
STAMPS FOR SAINT
PATRICK’S MISSIONARY SOCIETY
Father John McLaughlin has written to thank us
for the stamps we send. The Missions still get help from used stamps. There is
a box by the stall door. Thanks.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY
If you are a parent
or guardian of a child preparing to take the sacraments this year, would you consider
volunteering with the sacramental preparation group that your child attends at

IT’S THE EUCHARIST, THANK GOD
It's The Eucharist, Thank God is the title
of a new book by Bishop Taylor. It is on sale from Decani Books, Oak House, 70
High Street, Brandon, IP27 0AU for £8.50. It is Bishop Taylor’s reflection
on the Mass and Liturgy together with some personal reflections.
STALL
The
stall has a lovely selection of Christmas cards and card holders for sale. There
are also Nativity Sets from £1. Come along and have a look.
CHRISTMAS
RAFFLE
Christmas Raffle tickets are now available at the stall. They cost 25p
each or £1 for a strip. Prizes include a Nativity Set, Christmas cards,
chocolates and more. The raffle will be drawn after 10.00 am Mass on Sunday 20
December. All proceeds go to the Special Religious Education Group (SPRED)
and the Parish Lourdes Group.
SAINT BRIDE’S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DINNER
DANCE
Saint Bride's Church Christmas Dinner Dance will be on held on Friday
11 December in West Kilbride Golf Club. Tickets costing £22.50 are available
from Lorraine. All are welcome.
