Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £698.92. We are grateful for your generous support of the Parish and the Diocese to which we pay a monthly levy of £1250.

Last weekend's collection for Papal and Episcopal Charities amounted to £953.03 - many thanks.


BANKER'S ORDERS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Forms are available.

GIFT AID
Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Forms are available.

The times of Penance Services in preparation for Easter are:

  Monday 29 March at 7.00 pm in Saint Bride's Church, West Kilbride

VISITORS
Are you visiting us for Mass on Sunday? During the 10.00 am Mass there is a Children’s Liturgy provided for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme for children in Primary 4. After the 10.00 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and buns are available in the Parish Centre. At all of our weekend Masses, we have a second collection for our Parish Centre debt.

READERS

LENTEN RETREAT
The final Lenten retreats will be held in Smithstone House, Kilwinning on Mondays 22 March at 7.30 pm. Everyone is welcome.

LEGION OF MARY
The annual Acies (dedication) Ceremony of the
Legion of Mary will take place here in Saint Peter’s on Sunday 14 March at 3.00 pm. Everyone, especially former Legionaries and auxiliaries, is very welcome.

HMS DASHER
A service to commemorate the anniversary of HMS Dasher will take place at its memorial opposite the Church. Those taking part are invited to a cup of tea afterwards in the Parish Centre.

HILLHOUSE CARE
Hillhouse Care, formerly The Innocents, continues to care for children in need as before. Clothing, toys and baby equipment are gratefully received as are goods to sell the charity shop. Please phone 602179 for an uplift.

USED STAMPS FOR SAINT PATRICK’S MISSIONARY SOCIETY
There is a box by the Stall door for used Christmas stamps. A letter of thanks has been received from Father John McLaughlin. The proceeds from the stamps pay the salaries of catechists in various parts of Africa.

TRIP TO WALES
There will be a trip to Wales from 31 to 4 June. Places are still available - one twin and two double rooms. For further information, please telephone 601050.

FAMILY QUIZ NIGHT
Saint Peter’s Parent Council would like to thank all those who attended the Family Quiz Night at Saint Peter’s School. The night was a great success and congratulations to the winning family.

COLLECTION OF TOILETRIES
The Ozanam Day Centre in Glasgow is run by the
Saint Vincent de Paul Society  to assist homeless men and women. We have again been asked to assist in the collection of toiletries during Lent so these might be distributed as a very practical way of assisting the great many people who use the Centre. A box to receive donations of all kinds of toiletries will be available in the Church porch during Lent and the local Conference thanks you in anticipation of your generosity.

CAR BOOT AND TABLE TOP SALE
A Car Boot and Table Top Sale, arranged by the Thursday Brownies and Guides, will be held on Saturday 20 March from 10.30 am until 2.00 pm in the Parish Centre. If you wish to sell, please phone 07950 231241. Costs are £8 per indoor table and £6 per car boot outdoors. Everyone is welcome to come along.

HCPT - THE PILGRIMAGE TRUST
Esther Coulter would sincerely like to thank the family who are sponsoring our sweatshirts, hats and so on at the cost of £900. Your generosity has overwhelmed us. Many thanks to all those who contributed in any way to the success of our race night. The final
total raised was £3430. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.

Please note that there is now an updated version of the Linen Rota available in the sacristy.

COLLECTION ENVELOPES
New collection envelopes are now available at the stall. Very many thanks to those who pay their collection by standing order. The new financial year brings its own problems but we are making ends meet. Your continuing support of the Parish is much appreciated.

FATHER GABRIEL
Father Gabriel is presently having treatment in the Beatson Centre in Glasgow. We wish him a speedy recovery.

EASTER MASSES
Please remember that the Easter Vigil Mass is at 8.30 pm and that there is no 5.30 pm Mass that Saturday.

KITS FOR KIDS
Kits for Kids tokens in Daily Record can be handed in to the Parish Office and will be passed on to local football teams.

THANKS
Mary and Iain Carrick would like to sincerely thank everyone for all the love, kindness and support to them at the time of John’s death. We appreciate the prayers, Mass and Sympathy cards and flowers. £1350 was collected for the Princess Margaret Hospital, Dominica. Your generosity is overwhelming. Holy Mass will be offered for the intentions of everyone.
