main course. More than seventy places have now gone so get your tickets now.

CHURCH HEATING
The help you are giving to pay for the new boiler is very, very useful. The
brown envelope donations of £20+ - and gift-aided if you can - is certainly
easing the pain. Some fundraising by parish groups would be a great help.
Brown envelope donations of £560 bring the total to £8594. We
are getting there!
PILGRIMAGE TRUST RAFFLE
The Christmas Raffle with all proceeds going to HCPT - The Pilgrimage Trust
Group 207 and the Special Religious Education (SPRED) Group was drawn last
Sunday and raised £100 which will be spilt equally between the two charities.
Thank you to all who contributed.
GALLOWAY LOURDES HOSPITALITÉ
The annual general meeting of the Lourdes Hospitalité is in Ardrossan
this year on Sunday 19 February. There is Mass for the Sick with the Sacrament
of the Anointing of the sick at 3.30 pm followed by the meeting and tea in
the Hall. All are welcome.

for 2012 after all Masses next weekend in the Parish Centre foyer. New members
are very welcome to join at this time. There will be an Early Bird Bonus Draw

DAMAGE IN THE BIG STORM
We sustained a lot of storm damage to the house, Church, parish centre and
tower during the recent storm. Repairs may take some time and most of the
cost will be carried by our insurance company. Like everyone else, we will
have to find some of the cost ourselves.
PAPAL BLESSINGS
Papal Blessings for a wedding, wedding anniversary or a special birthday can

our Parish Centre debt.
CHERNOBYL CHILDREN'S LIFELINE
There will be a group of sixteen children coming from the Ukraine to Ayrshire
from 20 February to 19 March. We are in need of new pyjamas, underwear and
socks for boys and girls aged 9 to 14. A charity ceilidh in aid of Chernobyl
Children’s Lifeline will be held in the Seamill Hydro, West Kilbride on Saturday
4 February from 7.30pm to 12.30 am. Ticket costing £20 include supper,
Irish bingo ticket and a complimentary drink. All are welcome. If you have
anything to donate, would be interested in finding out more about the charity
or attending the ceilidh please contact Michael or Lisa Lafferty on 461234
or 07813 650411. Thanks.
SACRAMENTS OF CONFIRMATION AND FIRST COMMUNION
We have chosen three Sundays this year because of the number of children being
presented for the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion. The dates
are Sundays 13, 20 and 27 May. There is a list of the three dates at the back
of the Church. Please fill in your preferred Sunday. I would hope for about
ten children each Sunday because of available room in the Church, but the
choice is completely yours as parents and guardians. Please remember that
you can alter your choice if the circumstances change. Just be sure to let
me know.
PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness
and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone.
It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in
whatever capacity with
the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it
is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and
voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional
abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
