SACRAMENT OF FORGIVENESS
The Sacrament of Forgiveness is available at any suitable time as well as from 4.30 pm before the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.

OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £865.65 - many thanks. We are grateful for your generous support of the parish and the diocese to which we pay a monthly levy of £1250.

PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to
£397.29 - many thanks.

CATHOLIC PRESS AND MEDIA OFFICE COLLECTION
There will be a special collection at all Masses this weekend for Catholic Press and Media Office. Gift Aid envelopes are available at the end of the pews. This collection is two weeks delayed because of the First Communions.

BANKER'S ORDERS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Forms are available.

COLLECTION ENVELOPES
New collection envelopes for 2012-13 are now available at the stall.

GIFT AID
Have you signed a Gift Aid Form? If you pay tax, then every £1 you give to the Parish is worth £1.28 to us. Forms are available.

WILLS
Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

READERS
Next weekend's readers are Katrina Pollock at 5.30 pm, Margaret Harvey at 10.00 am and Ronnie Cairns at 12 noon.

ALTAR SERVERS
Next weekend's altar servers are Group 1 at 5.30 pm, Group 5 at 10.00 am and Group 7 at 12 noon.

SUNDAY TEAS
Next Sunday's teas will be served by Kathleen Chapman’s team.

CHILDREN'S LITURGY
The Children's Liturgy is run by volunteers on a rota basis. We are in need of more volunteers for the coming August session. Anyone can volunteer! As it takes a little time to gain disclosure, we need to think ahead. Please consider becoming a volunteer, especially if your child is currently in Primary 3 as they will be taking part in the Sacramental Preparation next year or if your child will be joining our three to five year olds Liturgy Group in August. If you are interested, please contact the Parish Office on 464063. Next Sunday's Children's Liturgy helpers are Emma Paterson for the pre-5s, Sharon McLaughlin and Yvette Thorpe for primaries 1 and 2 and Maria Paterson and Elaine Shaw for primary 3.

THE TWO NEW CANONS OF THE DIOCESE
Father Martin Poland and Monsignor Peter Magee, shown right, will be installed at Mass in the Cathedral, Ayr, on Tuesday 26 June at 7.00 pm.

YOUTH PILGRIMAGE RETREAT IN JULY 2012
Sixteen to twenty-one year olds are invited to join a group from Galloway Diocese which will take part in the youth events at the New Dawn Scotland Family Conference-Retreat in Saint Andrews, Fife from Monday 2 July to Saturday 7 July 2012. The week offers the opportunity for young people to celebrate their Catholic faith with others their age through worship, talks, workshops, ministry, healing, celebration of the Sacraments and Mass and prayer and a pilgrimage walk to the historic ruins of Saint Andrew's Cathedral. The cost is £90 including transport from Ayrshire, accommodation and meals. For more information see www.GallowayYouth.org.uk or contact Father Stephen McGrattan at FrStephen@GallowayYouth.org.uk or on 01290 421031.

50/50 CLUB
We have a few members still to renew their membership for 2012. If you no longer wish to subscribe to the 50/50 Club, please let the Promoter know.

ANNIVERSARY LIST
Our Anniversary List now contains 1100 entries and the anniversaries are listed every week so that you will continue to pray for all who are named. Family members are very conscientious about having Mass said for those who have died but the sheer number makes it difficult to avoid a clash of dates. Holy Mass is offered for every intention requested but the dates cannot be guaranteed. I will continue to do the best I can.

CHRISTIAN AID BARBECUE
It is hoped to repeat last year’s very successful barbecue on the afternoon of Sunday 12 August. All the churches in Ardrossan will take part.

CHURCH REPAIRS
We have a lot of maintenance to take care of. Lead has been stolen again and the Church needs painting. Brown envelope donations of £60 bring the total to £2974.50.

ADVERTISER SUPPORT
Our advertisers would welcome your support. We are grateful for their continuing sponsorship. We are grateful for the support of Mr and Mrs Sohal, Nisa Stores, Glasgow Street for the weekly donation of tea, coffee and milk for the Sunday teas.

USED PRINTER CARTRIDGES AND OLD MOBILE PHONES
There is a large green box in the foyer of the Parish Centre and a small box at the stall where you can place all old printer cartridges and mobile phones for us to recycle. Through recycling these we can raise some much needed funds. Thanks.

LAPEL CROSSES
Cardinal O’Brien called on all Catholics to 'wear a cross with pride' these days. We have a few lapel crosses available at the stall.

ARDROSSAN A FAIR TRADE TOWN?
Could Ardrossan become a Fair Trade town? A meeting will be held on Wednesday 6 June at 7.00pm in Whitlees Community Centre. Anyone who is interested to hear more about what we would have to do is welcome. Just go along.

EVENING SAIL TO ARRAN
We have had a couple of very successful evening sails to Arran and back. Just buy a ticket and meet on the boat which sails at about 6.00 pm and returns before 9.00 pm by staying on board. Alternatively, you could go during the day and come back with us. Bring a picnic and perhaps something to wash it down or buy food on the boat. If it is a wild night, just stay at home. It makes no money but is a good evening out. The date will be arranged soon.

PAPAL BLESSINGS
Papal Blessings for a
wedding, wedding anniversary or a special birthday can be ordered at the stall. The price of the parchment and postage has gone up drastically. We now have to ask £40 for the Blessing. Please leave plenty of time.

NEW MISSAL
New Missals containing the new Rite are now available at the stall £7.99 or £9.99.

LARGE PRINT MASS BOOKS
Mass Books in Polish are available from the stall. Sunday Readings in most European languages can be printed from the parish website.

NOVENA CANDLES
There is a nice selection of Novena Candles available at the stall.

VISITORS
Are you visiting us for Mass? Please know that you are very welcome. During the 10.00 am Mass there is a Children’s Liturgy provided for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme for children in Primary 4. After the 10.00 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and buns are available in the Parish Centre. At all of our weekend Masses, we have a second collection for our Parish Centre debt.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone. It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in whatever capacity
with the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
