in Saint Peter's are 5.30 pm Vigil and 10.30 am. Sunday
Mass times in other local parishes can be
seen here.

The Sacrament of Forgiveness is available at any suitable time as well as
from 4.30 pm before the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.
OFFERTORY
COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £657.48 - many thanks.
We are grateful for your generous support of the parish and the diocese to
which we pay a monthly levy of £1250.
PARISH CENTRE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted
to £298.07
- many thanks.
SACRISTY
ROOF
The flat roof of the sacristy and the link to the Parish Centre had to be
replaced - as an emergency - over the New Year period at a cost of £4000.
The work was done to stop the considerable damage which the rain was doing.
It points to further work which will be needed as we go
along.
CHURCH REPAIRS
The help you give for Church repairs by dropping in a white envelope from
time to time is invaluable. Recent donations of £20 bring the total
to £5294.50.
BANKER'S ORDERS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling
of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of
£3800 per month. Forms are available.
GIFT AID
Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed is that you pay tax.
You simply declare that you give funds to the Church. We do the rest. Why
not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every £1 you give
the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation. There is no
need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.
WILLS
Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?
READERS
Next weekend's readers are Margaret Munn at 5.30
pm and Tom Reid at 10.30 am.

to be with friends. The meal will be prepared and served by Michael and Fiona
Brown, family and friends. Vegetarian meals are available with notice as an
alternative to the traditional Burns Supper main course. Photographs and more
details of the participants can be seen on the Burns Supper page of Saint
Peter's website.

YEAR OF FAITH
An adult education course for the Year of Faith will be held in Saint Bride’s,
West Kilbride on some Thursday evenings from 7.30 to 9.00 pm. The next session
is A Church Rooted In The Word of God on 21 February, presented by Father
Willie McFadden. Pope Benedict has called on all Catholics to celebrate a
Year of Faith from October 2012 to October 2013. It is a time to renew our
faith by prayer, by studying our faith and by renewed charity. It is something
we can all do both privately and publically. Our country has lost its faith
and its way. We each must play our part in renewing faith in God’s goodness
and His word. The Year of Faith Diary is available at the stall. It runs from
October 2012 to October 2013 and will be useful. It costs £2.95. To
mark the Year of Faith, the Bishops of Scotland have set up a special website
and social media feeds to help us learn about all that is happening at local,
national and international level and to assist us to grow in faith during
this time of grace. The address is www.YearOfFaithScotland.com
In addition, special services will be provided via Facebook and Twitter, offering
news, points for reflection and ideas on how to mark the Year of Faith. Please
consider following www.facebook.com/yearoffaithscotland
and www.twitter.com/scotyearoffaith.

by Women's Aid. When people are allocated a house, they very often don’t have

it.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness
and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone.
It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in
whatever capacity with
the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it
is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and
voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional
abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
