The Sacrament of Forgiveness is available at any suitable time as well as from 4.30 pm before the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.

OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £688.94 - many thanks. We are grateful for your generous support of the parish and the diocese to which we pay a monthly levy of £1250.

CATHOLIC EDUCATION SERVICE COLLECTION
Last weekend's collection for the
Catholic Education Service amounted to £294.43 - many thanks.

CHURCH STUDENTS' FUND COLLECTION
Next weekend, we use our second collection for the Church Students' Fund. There are Gift Aid envelopes for you to use.

SCOTTISH CATHOLIC INTERNATIONAL AID FUND (SCIAF)
The Fourth Sunday of Lent is when we have our annual collection for SCIAF.

CHURCH REPAIRS
The help you give for Church repairs by dropping in a white envelope from time to time is invaluable. Recent donations of £30 bring the total to £5514.50. We have a continuing task in keeping the Church wind and watertight.

BANKER'S ORDERS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Forms are available.

GIFT AID
Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church. We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every £1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation. There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.

WILLS
Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

READERS
Next weekend's readers are Marade Griffin at 5.30 pm and Angela Body at 10.30 am.

The next session is A Church Rooted In The Word of God on 21 February, presented by Father Willie McFadden. Pope Benedict has called on all Catholics to celebrate a Year of Faith from October 2012 to October 2013. It is a time to renew our faith by prayer, by studying our faith and by renewed charity. It is something we can all do both privately and publically. Our country has lost its faith and its way. We each must play our part in renewing faith in God’s goodness and His word. The Year of Faith Diary is available at the stall. It runs from October 2012 to October 2013 and will be useful. It costs £2.95. To mark the Year of Faith, the Bishops of Scotland have set up a special website and social media feeds to help us learn about all that is happening at local, national and international level and to assist us to grow in faith during this time of grace. The address is www.YearOfFaithScotland.com In addition, special services will be provided via Facebook and Twitter, offering news, points for reflection and ideas on how to mark the Year of Faith. Please consider following www.facebook.com/yearoffaithscotland and www.twitter.com/scotyearoffaith.

The Jumbulance is operated by ACROSS and designed to allow even those who would be unable to fly the opportunity to go on pilgrimage to Lourdes. At present, this group is the only one based in our diocese, originating in Hurlford, but is open to all of Galloway Diocese and indeed beyond.
