KNIT AND KNATTER GROUP

The Knit and Knatter Group started on 16 September 2018, the wettest and stormiest Wednesday of the year. Ten people came along to the first meeting in the Parish Centre and over the months attendance was as many as fourteen. Members knit, crotchet and sew for charitable organisations.

In tis first year, the Group donated to:
  • Blood Bikers' Group for Sick Children - Easter eggs
  • Blythswood Trust - crocheted and knitted blankets and patchwork blankets
  • Glasgow Sick Children's Hospital - baby clothes
  • Malawi Hospital Baby Unit - baby clothes
  • Premature Baby Unit Crosshouse Hospital - baby clothes

  • Saint Peter's Church - monetary donation

  • Saint Vincent de Paul Society - baby clothes
  • Three Towns Nursing Home - crocheted and knitted blankets

  • Wayside Mission - hats and scarves

Fiona Lyon, Group leader is very proud what has been achieved in such a short time. It shows how much people care for those who are less fortunate. She thanks everyone who has supported the Group.
