Ecce Panis Angelorum is Latin for Behold the Bread of Angels. This short motet is based on a traditional Portuguese melody, the origins of which are unknown. The work is intented for Eucharistic devotion and is sung regularly as a Communion motet in the Church of Saint Peter in Chains.
