Transcription from Registrum Vetus Ecclesia Glasguensis to the Bannatyne Club volume of 1843
31 July 2006

In 1843, handwritten entries from the Registrum Vetus, a chartulary of documents belonging to the medieval Diocese of Glasgow between the twelfth and fifteenth centuries, were transcribed to text in the Bannatyne Club volumes. The text above is from page 118 of volume 1 and is the earliest known reference to a Catholic Church in Ardrossan.
