Sanctuary Bell - floor standing
31 October 2006

The Sanctuary Bell is rung at various times during services.

The bell was the original bell for Saint Andrew's Cathedral in Dumfries, the then Cathedral Church of the Diocese of Galloway. The Cathedral was burned down in 1961 but the bell was saved by the firemen. It was in a cellar for many years and has been in various parishes. It is suited to a big Church and was first used in the Church of Saint Peter in Chains on 27 October 2006.
