PARISH CENTRE

The Parish Centre is behind the Church and is accessed externally on the left side of the Church. There is also internal access from the Church.

Construction work started on 7 April 1997 and finished on 23 December 1997. The chief architect was Paddy Cronin of McMillan and Cronin, 24 Main Street, Largs, the firm that designed the most recent Presbytery. The main contractor was G Reid and Son Limited, 19 Ford Street, Catrine.

Bishop Maurice Taylor formally opened the Parish Centre on 24 February 1998.

Subject to the Letting Policy, the Parish Centre can be hired for meetings and social functions. It is commonly used for christening, wedding and funeral receptions, parish socials, dances and birthday parties.

The Parish Centre manager from 2000 to 2007 was Gerry Brown. It is now managed by his daughter-in-law, Fiona Brown.

Photographs of the construction of the Parish Centre are on the Pictures page.
